On the occasion of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Jayanti, a special morning assembly was conducted by Sadhu Vaswani House at Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School, Bhopal, on 26 September 2026. The assembly highlighted the inspiring life, struggles and remarkable achievements of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Ji, a great educationist and social reformer.
Through an informative speech and an engaging skit presentation, students portrayed important aspects of his life and his efforts towards social reform, particularly widow remarriage, women’s education and the upliftment of women.
Madam Principal,in her address, emphasized about the struggles faced by women in earlier times and how the efforts of reformers like Vidyasagar Ji helped pave the way for greater opportunities and rights for women. She highlighted that the educational opportunities enjoyed by girls today are the result of the struggles and reforms of those who worked for social change.
The assembly inspired students to value education, equality and social responsibility.
