Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School, under the aegis of Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society (SHKES), organised "Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori 2.0", an awareness programme for bus drivers, conductors, helpers, caretakers, premises in-charges and supporting staff of all the schools under SHKES. The programme was graced by the presence of Mr. Ghanshyam Bulchandani, Secretary, SHKES. The session was conducted by Mr. Ashok Kumar Gautam, Station House Officer, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, who highlighted the economic, social and mental consequences of substance abuse. He urged participants to use their hard-earned income for their families instead of addictions, explained how substance abuse affects families and road safety, and cautioned against the increasing misuse of women and minors in drug trafficking. He encouraged everyone to report suspicious activities to the police, stay away from tobacco and gutka, and remain alert against cyber fraud and greed-based online scams. The programme concluded with an interactive session where transport staff shared their concerns and received practical guidance. Mrs. Amrita Motwani, Principal, Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School, delivered the welcome address, Mrs. Anjali Varshney compered the programme, and Mr. A. N. Manikandan, Principal, Mithi Gobindram Public School, proposed the vote of thanks. The session reinforced the commitment to building a drug-free, safe and responsible society.
