A Dialogue with Books, An Encounter with Literature

Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School organised a ‘Meet the Author’ programme on 13 August 2026 as part of its Silver Jubilee Year 2026–27 celebrations, marking Librarians’ Day. The programme was specially attended by members of the school’s Literary Club, with the aim of connecting students with books, literature and creative writing.

The distinguished guest, Dr. Arunabh Saurabh, renowned poet, author, translator and educator, interacted with the students and highlighted the importance of reading, language and literature in shaping a meaningful life. He encouraged students to develop a strong command of language, read extensively and stay connected with books alongside digital resources. He also presented his poems Duniya Badalne Tak and Desh Ho To.

Literary Club members enthusiastically interacted with Dr. Saurabh, asked questions and presented their original poems, which he greatly appreciated. Principal Ms. Amrita Motwani appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to make reading and the library an integral part of their lives.

The programme was coordinated by Librarian Ms. Kajal Asudani and Assistant Librarian Ms. Seema Motiani, and compered by Ms. Himanshi Lalwani. The event was a meaningful initiative promoting reading, creativity and literary awareness among students.
