Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School conducted a special morning assembly to mark the festive occasion of Diwali and reflect on the deeper meaning of the festival—gratitude, compassion, sharing and giving.
Addressing the students, the Vice Principal Ms. Swati Billore highlighted the significance of Diwali and the traditions associated with the festival. She encouraged students to look beyond new clothes, sweets and celebrations and recognise the joy of sharing their happiness with those who may not have the same privileges.
Emphasising the values of empathy and generosity, she sensitised students towards the needs of the less privileged and encouraged them to contribute sweets, clothes and other useful items of their choice for those in need before Diwali.
The initiative aimed to nurture a spirit of kindness, social responsibility and concern for the community, reminding young learners that festivals become truly meaningful when happiness is shared.
The assembly concluded with a thoughtful message: the true light of Diwali shines brightest when it brings warmth, hope and happiness into the lives of others.
