Lal Bahadur Shastri & Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School celebrated 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri with enthusiasm and fervor. The Programme commenced with the lightning of ceremonial lamp and offering floral tribute at the lotus feet of Maa Saraswati, Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Maa Bharti and Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahibji.

Mr. Manish R.K. Jain, Principal, NHLPS, in his welcome speech enlightened the students about the simple and noble life of Mahatma Gandhi. He told the students about Mahatma Gandhi, who was a great follower of truth and Non- Violence throughout his life. He also informed the students about the life and sacrifices of Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Ms. Shobana Dubey gave an insight into the life and sacrifices of Mahatama Gandhi where she informed the students about the ill-treatment, Bapu faced in South Africa. She also told about the various revolutions which Mahatma Gandhi initiated to lead India to Independence.

 Ms. Kajal Assudani, promoted the book 'Hind Swaraj' and motivated the students to read the book in order to learn from the life of Mahatma Gandhi.

Students sang Mahatma Gandhi's favourite hymns 'Vaishnav Janto', 'Hey Ram' and 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram', melodiously under the guidance of Ms. Poornima and Ms. Charu.

Mr. Manohar Vaswani, Management Incharge, NHLPS, shared with the students the instances from Mahatma Gandhi life where he demonstrated patience, tolerance and devotion.

Shri A.C. Sadhwani, Seceretary, SHKES, enlightened the students that a person becomes great not by his birth but by his deeds. He motivated the students to adopt and lead a noble life by following the footstep of Mahatma Gandhi. He also inspired the students to boycott the use of plastic.

Rajul Mewada, a student of class XI, shared with the students the motivational quotes from Mahatma Gandhi's life.

Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Komal Jaggi who successfully compered the Programme.

After the conclusion of programme, the students of classes VIII, IX & XI went to T.T Nagar stadium to participate in the mega event to make a world record by positioning the students to create Mahatma Gandhi's portrait.

Students also participated in the Mega Awareness Rally saying 'NO TO PLASTIC'. Reading and coloring activities for the students were conducted to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Students were also shown the movie 'Gandhi'  based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
