Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School organized a career counselling session on “Exploring Career Pathways – PCM, PCB, and Commerce Opportunities & Essential Skill Sets” for Class X students on March 26, 2025. The session aimed to guide students in making informed career choices based on their interests, strengths, and aspirations. The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Rev. Siddh Bhauji, Chairman of Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society, who addressed students and parents, emphasizing that the coming seven years would be the most crucial in shaping their future and standing in society.

The Principal warmly welcomed the parents and introduced the PGT faculty. The session was conducted by Ms. Jagjeev Kaur Dhooman, an Educationist, Trainer and Consultant, who provided valuable insights into the various career opportunities available for students in different streams. She elaborated on the vast possibilities for students opting for PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), such as Engineering, Architecture, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Aviation & Aerospace, Defence Services and Actuarial Science & Financial Engineering. For students inclined towards PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), she discussed career paths in Medicine & Healthcare, Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Veterinary Science, Forensic Science and Environmental Science. Commerce students were introduced to fields such as Accounting & Finance (CA, CMA, CFA, etc.), Banking & Insurance, Business Management & Entrepreneurship, Economics & Statistics, Law (LLB, Corporate Law, etc.), Digital Marketing & E-Commerce and Stock Market & Investment Banking.

Beyond career options, Ms. Dhooman highlighted the significance of critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, leadership, teamwork, adaptability, resilience, digital literacy and time management. While interacting with parents, she stressed the need for them to spend quality time with their children daily. She encouraged students to focus on self-study and independent exploration.

The session concluded with an engaging question and answer round, where students posed insightful questions about their career choices and future prospects. Overall the session was highly informative.The programme seamlessly anchored by Ms. Lata Manwani, ended on a positive note with a vote of thanks by Vice-Principal Ms. Rekha Kewlani.
