CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME

ON

REMODELED STRUCTURE OF ASSESSMENT

On 24 April 2018, a capacity building programme was organised on Remodeled structure of Assessment. The programme was organised by Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School, Bairagarh under the aegis of Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society.

            This workshop was conducted by centre of Excellence, CBSE, Ajmer. The Resource person were Mrs. Poonam Shekhawat, Principal, South Valley Public School, Betma and Mr. Rajesh Awasthi, Principal, Choithram Public School, Indore.

            The programme started with deep prajwalan and malyarpan and seeking the blessings of God to make it a success. The Resource person were accorded a warm floral welcome by the management members.

            The programme commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Manish R.K. Jain, Venue Director. Rev. Siddh Bhauji, in his address to the teachers urged them to realise their responsibility of preparing the critical thinkers for the society who can give a new direction to the society. Emphasising on the role of teachers, he stated that a teacher can touch the mind and heart of the students and light in them a spark for knowledge, instil a sense of responsibility, build a positive self-concept and foster love for others. This will result in preparing empathetic and compassionate students who with their desire for knowledge will be able to differentiate between right and wrong and apply their knowledge in real life situations. He applauded the teachers for their uncounted and untiring efforts.

            Mrs. Poonam and Mr. Rajesh, the resource persons for the day conducted an ice-breaker session, as the teachers had come from different schools, so that they become familiar with each-other. After that they motivated the teachers to share their experiences how they deal with the students in tough situations. They also discussed the framework of CBSE under circular no. Acad-05/2017. They discussed in detail about Periodic Test the significance of subject enrichment activity and the importance of focusing on notebook completion and its assessment. Rubrics for subject Enrichment and notebook Assessment were also discussed in detail. They also discussed about the report card of Std. IX & X as the board exams have been introduced again in the Std. X. The motive was to bring to the notice that these 2 years are very crucial in a child’s life as they work as a stepping stone in deciding their future. The resource persons gave a rough idea to the teachers how to frame an excellent question paper based on Bloom’s Taxonomy so that it covers all aspects of a good question paper and caters to the need of each and every people in the class. The teachers were encouraged to make one activity subject wise, based on the curriculum provided to them on the spot, gave its presentation also groupwise. 

            The resource persons discussed about the CCA activities also, the motive of which is to focus on the all-round and holistic development of the child through various activities such as music, dance, sports, art & craft. The teachers presented their views through drawings and had long discussions based on their experiences.

                        The training programme was of 7 hours and 35 mins. The resource persons were honoured with shawl and sherifal as per the tradition of the society. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Manish R.K. Jain, Principal, NHLPS.
