                       Teacher’s day celebration

Teacher’s day was celebrated with great fervour and festivity on 6^th Sep 2017 at Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani School in Sant Hirdaram auditorium. The programme commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp and offering of flowers in the lotus feet of Maa Bharti, Goddess Saraswati and Sant Hirdaram Sahibji by Rev. Siddh Bhauji, President Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society, Mr. Manohar Vaswani, Management incharge, Mr. Ghanshyam Bulchandani, Secretary, Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society, Mr. Manish R.K Jain, Principal, Ms. Rita Gurbani, Vice-Principal, and Ms. Amrita Motwani, Head Mistress.

          Rev. Siddh Bhauji expressing his gratitude towards teachers reminded us of our first gurus- our parents whose contribution cannot be ignored. We should be grateful towards them. Their blessings do miracle in lives. The respect to teachers is always paid by those students who know the importance of education. He quoted the examples of Mr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, our former President and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who strived more and became great men. He asked the girls to be more prompt in their efforts as girls are found in all fields. He further asked the students not to waste their time and money in useless entertainments rather donate it to some needy.

          Manish R.K. Jain, Principal welcoming all, remembered Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan’s contributions and urged all to take some attributes from his life. He showed his gratitude towards Rev. Siddh Bhauji by calling him ‘Teachers’ teacher and mentioned the contributions of Secretary Mr. Ghanshyam Bulchandani and Management incharge, Mr. Manohar Vaswani. He gave a clarian call to the teachers to be more patient, tolerant and compassionate. Miracles will happen and the slowest student will achieve the height of success.  

          Mr. Manohar Vaswani, Management incharge congratulating asserted the importance of teachers by saying that their contribution is ages old. He mentioned that examples of Lord Krishna and Chanakya cannot be ignored. He quoted the example of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk who generated new turky after 1^st world war. He encouraged the students to listen and pay respect to their teachers as they are doing their work day and night.

          Students Ritika Mulani, Jahanvi Gurbani, Jaspreet Kaur, Manmeet Kaur, Tamanna Sharma, Divya Thawani, Riya Dadlani, Divyanshi K.Jaggi, in their speeches, said that we can never thank teachers enough for their immense contribution in students  life. Mother gives birth but teachers give life. The cultural extravaganza was mesmerising. It elated all with the wonderful performances given by the students. It consisted of group song dedicated to teachers. The dances made everyone  tap their feet.  

          The programme was successfully compered by Niharika Manhar, Std. X ‘B’, Meera Widhani, Std. IX-A and Aarti Lohar IX-C. Vote of thanks was proposed by Cultural Minister, Harshita Banskar of the school.
