National Sports Day Celebration in NHLPS

The National Sports Day, which is celebrated to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand on 29th August every year, was celebrated with equal zeal and fervour in the campus of Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School. The aim of this event is to promote sports and physical fitness amongst the people and also applaud the contributions , determinations and extra ordinary achievements of our athletes at various international sports platforms.

The actual event had started one week before ; when quarter finals, semi finals and final events were conducted for the students of I to Vlll classes under the able guidance of Sports Department of the school. Various events such as Relay Race(Vl) Circuit Training(V) Hurdle Race(VI) 50m Race, Shuttle Run(l), Twolegged Race(lll) were conducted for the students of various classes according to their level. On the final day of the event i.e 29th August presentations of Surya Namaskar, Dumbells, Hula Hoop, Katas and Pragya Yog were demonstrated by the students of lll to Vlll class.

The winner of various Races and events were honoured with medals by Respected Principal ma'am and Vice- Principal ma'am.

The purpose of this day was to encourage the students to embrace physical fitness, leave sedentary lifestyle and indulge in physical activity for holistic personal growth.
