NHLPS observed the Commemoration day of Sadhu Heeranand

With the blessings of Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahibji and under the guidance and motivation of Shraddhey Siddh Bhauji, Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School observed the day of remembrance of Sadhu Heeranandji in the morning assembly. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and offering floral tribute at the lotus feet of the great soul.

Prachi Bhojwani, a student of Std. X, threw light on the life and sacrifices of Heeranand Shaukiram Advani, known as Sadhu Heeranand, born on 23rd March 1863. He was a renowned Sindhi social reformer, educationalist, journalist and human rights activist. He was so inspired by Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa that he established an academy called Union Academy to raise awareness amongst young people and educate them about things happening in the world.He, alongwith his brother Sadhu Navalrai launched awareness campaigns to promote education for girls.
