Golden Vijay Diwas Celebrated (Online) by the Schools & Colleges run by SHKES

With the blessings of His Holiness Sant Hirdaram Sahib ji and under the guidance and motivation of Rev. Siddh Bhauji, ‘Vijay Diwas’ was commemorated on 16th Dec 2020 by the students, staff & management of all the schools operating under the banner of Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society, on  a virtual platform.

Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society works to instil in the students, sense of patriotism, loyalty and belongingness towards the nation, and in the same frame of reference the society keeps on organising various influential sessions for the students of all the schools flourishing under its banner. As this year, Covid-19 pandemic restrained all the cultural and physical activities in school, the society successfully managed to celebrate various important days/ programmes/ festivities on virtual platform. Pertaining to the same, the society commemorated “Vijay Diwas” on its 50th Anniversary with fervour and gaiety. The day is observed across India by paying tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation. It is the day when Indian military gained victory over Pakistan military forces in Indo-Pak War of 1971 for the liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistan. The end of the war also resulted in the unilateral and unconditional surrender of the Pakistan army. On this day in 1971, the chief of the Pakistani forces, along with 93,000 troops, surrendered to the Indian Army, led by General Jagjit Singh Aurora, of India.

The online commemoration marked the presence of Rev. Siddh BhauJi, President, SHKES, Shri Hero Gyanchandani Ji, Vice President, SHKES, Shri A.C. Sadhwani Ji, Secretary, SHKES,  Shri K.L Ramnani Joint- Secretary, SHKES, Col. Narayan Parwani (Chief Guest), Mrs. Amrita Motwani, Principal, Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School, Dr. Ajay Kant Sharma, Principal, Mithi Gobindram Public School , Mrs Rita Gurbani, Vice- Principal, MGPS,  Mrs. Jayshree Murti, Academic Coordinator VidyaSagar Public School, Dr. Dalima Parwani, Principal, Sant Hirdararm Girls College, Dr.Himanshu Sharma, Principal, Sant Hirdaram Medical college of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Mrs. Priya Jain Sharma, Principal, Children's Hope India Girls School, Mr. Rajesh Lalwani, Principal Kewalram Chanrai Public School along with Coordinators, teachers & students of all the schools.

The programme commenced with singing of patriotic song followed by speech on martyrs by the students of various institutions.

Col. Narayan Parwani, in his enunciation recalled the sacrifices and the act of bravery by Indian Army under the capable leadership of General Jagjeet Singh Aurora. He rejuvenated the feeling of loyalty towards the country by explaining the atrocities faced by the soldiers in the battle ground and the fortitude they exhibit. He further motivated the participants to keep alive the zeal to sacrifice for the nation as it is the true identity of a patriotic Indian.

Rev. Siddh BhauJi, urged the students to stay fit and healthy by keeping away from junk food and by doing exercise every day. He motivated the students to set their career in Armed Forces and bring pride not only to their families but also to the nation.

Shri A.C. Sadhwani Ji, re-called the golden day in the history of India drawing inspiration from audacious Indian soldiers. He told the participants (students) that Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society (SHKES) rejoices this day every year with gaiety and pride. In previous years also special programmes were conducted in the school premises to keep alive the golden history in the heart of present generation. The society has always ensured that such programmes marked the presence of renowned military persona. This year due to Covid-19 the society was restrained to conduct the program online.

Apart from the inspiring speeches, students of various institutions, prepared slogans, posters and cards to pay their tribute to the brave hearts. 

The online event was recorded beautifully by technical staff of these schools and colleges.
