DEAR activity was conducted on 12th August in school on Librarians Day to pay tribute to Dr. S R. Ranganathan (1892-1972), the father of Library science . The aim of this activity, conducted in our school every year, is to encourage students, teachers and school helpers to take out at least 60 minutes to read any book of their choice in perfect silence so as to cherish the beauty and company of books . The overall aim of this activity is to promote reading habit among students.
Though, we conduct this activity with our students and staff every year on a large scale , due to pandemic, this year it was organised on virtual mode. The response from students was as overwhelming as ever!
