KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS CELEBRATION
IN SHAHEED HEMU KALANI EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY
On 26.07.2019, the Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with zeal, fervour and zeal of patriotism, in Sant Hirdaram Auditorium by the students and teachers of Mithi Gobindram Public School and Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public school.
The programme commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp and garlanding the portraits of deities in the pious presence of Rev. Siddh Bhauji, Chairman, SHLKES, Shri Hero Gyanchandani Ji, Vice-President, SHKES, Shri A.C. Sadhwani Ji, Secretary SHKES, Shri Bhagwan Babani, Member, SHKES, Shri Vishnu Gehani ji, Educationist, Col. Narayan Parwani, Guest Speaker, Mrs. Charanjeet Kaur, Principal, Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Dr. Ajaykant Sharma, Principal, MGPS, Mr Manish R.,K Jain, Principal NHLPS, Mrs. Varsha Tripathi, Principal, Children's Hope India Girls School and teachers and students of MGPS, NHLPS, SHGC & CHIGS.
On this occasion Bhauji expressed his love & respect for the martyrs of Kargil and concern for their family members. He motivated the assemblage to donate the money for the families of these martyrs on "Bharat Ke Veer" website. He inspired students to be self-motivated, responsible, optimistic and assertive in life. He gave examples of Lal Bahadur Shashtri, Subhash Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekanand and underlined their works and preachings as inspiration for present generation. He mentioned the achievements of Hema Das, the renowned athlete who has won gold medals for India and her noble deed of donating money for the flood victims of Assam. He motivated the students to read newspapers and books. He also exhorted upon the students to be sensitive, positive and set their goal as these are important factors towards achieving the best result.
Mr. Manish R.K. Jain, Principal, NHLPS, in his welcome speech introduced the guest speaker, Col. Narayan Parwani ji, and motivated the assemblage to observe the presentation sincerely so as to enhance knowledge about the martyrs and also develop a feeling of patriotism among the students. He also welcomed him & addressed him as JAWAN PARWANI JI.
Colonel Narayan Parwani ji spoke at length about the Kargil War which took place between 08.05.1999 to 26.07.1999 at Kargil District located in Jammu & Kashmir. The attack had been made by Pakistan with the intention of capturing Kargil. In this war 527 soldiers sacrificed their life and 90% of them were below the age of 30 years. It was like Suicidal Mission. He went on to give the details of Kargil martyrs such as Captain Manoj Pandey who was honoured with Param Veer Chakra, Yogendra Singh Yadav, The Hero of Tiger Hills, Captain Vikram Batra whose nick name was Sher Shah, Captain N. Kenguruse who was awarded with Mahaveer Chakra, Captain Haneef Uddin, who received Veer Chakra, Captain VIjayant Thapar & Captain Saurabh Kalia who underwent barbaric treatment for 22 days.
Col. Narayan Parwani ji also expressed his view on including such wars in the syllabus so as to familiarise the young generation on the bravery and exemplary courage shown by the Martyrs. He also mentioned in his speech that IAF were used extensively in this war and this was the first time when the citizens could view the battle field on their TV sets. This discussion was amply supported by the PPT prepared by Mr. Brajesh Chourey, Teacher, MGPS. At the end, Kargil War tribute video was shown to the students.
A patriotic group song based on the Kargil war was presented by the students of Mithi Gobindram Public School. Silence was observed to pay tribute to the brave soldiers.
Vote of thanks was offered Dr. Ajay Kant Sharma, Principal, MGPS, where he extended his gratitude on behalf of SHKES family to Rev. Siddh Bhauji, whose consistent guidance, love for nation, his feeling and respect for soldiers, his Sanskaars, are making it possible to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas for inculcating the feeling of patriotism and making them to pay homage to the martyrs. He spoke of being indebted to Colonel Narayan Parwani ji for his extraordinary, live, emotional presentation which infused a feeling of love for the nation among the students.
Saropa & Shreefal were presented to the guest speaker as a token of love, respect & gratitude. The program was successfully compered by Ms. Mahima Parhwak, MGPS & Ms. Komal Jaggi, NHLPS.
