With the divine blessings of enlightened Supreme Sant Hirdaram Sahibji and his successor Shraddhey Siddh Bhauji, 75th Independence Day was celebrated in Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School. The flag hoisting ceremony was graciously performed by Col. Narayan Parwani in the presence of Principal and staff of the school and office bearers of the Society, Shri Hero Gyanchandani (Vice-President), Shri A.C. Sadhwani (Secretary), Shri K.L. Ramnani (Joint Secretary) and other esteemed members 

As per the guidelines regarding COVID-19 from the government, the national flag was hoisted without calling students. Measures related to COVID safety such as temperature screening, social distancing, mask wearing and sanitization were followed. The flag was hoisted by 8 am at the school. 

As we all know educational institutions have been closed and partly running due to Covid-19 pandemic but it did not deter the aspirations and the courage of students who celebrated this national festival online. In the guidance of their teachers, students prepared videos covering various patriotic songs, dances and shows to revive the spirit of sacrifice, nationalism and patriotism. These videos were uploaded on the websites of the schools. The prime objective of these activities was to kindle the spirit of patriotism, sacrifice and dedication in the students. 

President of the Society, Shraddhey Sant Siddh Bhauji in his message congratulated students and teachers on the 75th Independence Day and showered his divine blessings upon them all. He encouraged everyone to be truthful towards one’s country and loyal to one’s culture. At present, students of Class IX to XII are coming to the school for once or twice in a week, in less numbers. Shraddhey Bhauji appealed the students to attend the physical classes held in the school, with their parents' consent. The entire staff of the schools and colleges has been vaccinated. Still COVID safety protocol is being practised religiously in the schools. He expressed his hope that shortly the nation will come out of this pandemic and the classes will be held, as usual. 

On this memorable day, Colonel Narayan Parwani in his speech said that the students must inculcate in themselves heroism, valour, courage, grit and audacity. He quoted the example of 'Magician of Hocky' Maj. Dhyanchand stating that when, in 1936 Olympiad, he was asked by Adolf Hitler of Germany as to what his country had done for him, he replied, "It is not important what my country has done, the important thing is what I have done for my country." Relating to this example, Col. Parwani urged upon everyone to work diligently and honestly in whatever area allotted. This will definitely be true patriotism so as to make the nation attain new heights. Further, he emphasized on improving immunity by doing exercise and not only by consuming health supplements as the world is heading towards havoc of obesity which is mother of all diseases. His address was full of examples of our brave freedom fighters who did not even think twice before sacrificing their precious lives for the honour of their motherland.
