Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School Celebrated National Sports Day with Enthusiastic Participation

On 29th August 2024, Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School celebrated National Sports Day with a range of exciting activities that brought out the sportsmanship and energy of our students. The day was packed with engaging events such as Badminton, Kho-Kho, Lemon Race, Skipping Rope Race, Chess, Planks Walk Race, Shuttle Run and many more.

The school coaches and the in-charge teacher, Miss Antima Teotia, coordinated the entire event and ensured that each activity ran smoothly and that every student had the opportunity to participate and showcase their talents. Miss Antima also took the opportunity to explain the significance of National Sports Day, which is celebrated in honour of the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey player who made significant contributions to Indian sports.

National Sports Day is not just a day of celebration, but a reminder of the pivotal role sports play in the holistic development of students. Through sports, the students learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, perseverance and discipline.
