KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

Kargil Vijay Diwas was organised by Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School on 26^th July 2018 in Sant Hirdaram Auditorium to pay homage to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives on border to defend our country in Kargil war. Students from Std. X to XII along with the students of Mithi Gobindram Public School, Sant Hirdaram Girls College, BNYS, Principal and Staff members attended the programme.

The programme started by lighting the lamp and taking the blessings of Ma Bharti, Ma Saraswati and H.H. Sant Hirdaram Sahib.

The programme commenced by the welcome speech of A.C. Sadhwani who suggested to recall the sacrifices done by our soldiers. It is not necessary for us to go to border and fight for country we can show our patriotism in different ways if we save water and serve humanity and study well and after reading the desired posts work with honesty and dedication is also patriotism.

The Principal, Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Dr. Charanjeet kaur introduced Col. Narayan Parwani and said that it does not matter how good we are but how good we work. Zeal, valour and commitment should be our passion.

On this occasion, the good work of PGT Maths Mr. Rajeev Upadhyay was also appreciated and was honoured with shawl, shreephal and cheque of Rs. 10,000/-. The performance of a student of Std. XII Mast. Punit who got 2^nd prize at the State Level Essay Writing Competition organised by Income Tax Dept. on 158^th Tax day.

The Chief Guest Col. Narayan Parwani paying homage to the soldiers showed the sacrifices done by the Indian soldiers who laid their lives in saving the country from the clutches of the enemy Pakistan by Power point presentation. He reminded us all the exemplary, chivalry, valour and bravery shown by our Jawans and Officers to make our future better. It was not easy to defeat the enemy in -25Ëš temperature. Every soldier who was the part of the battle was the part of suicidal mission. Even then they fought bravely.

He felt our motherland has not stopped giving birth to the brave people even after the war of Kargil. He acquainted everyone with the bravery of Capt. Manoj Pandey, Capt. Vikram Batra, Capt. Vijendra Thakur who believed that either ‘they will come back after raising the Indian Flag after victory or return wrapped in it’. He also quoted the example of Capt. Vikram Batra’s father who climbed the height of 16,000 ft. and reached the place where his son had sacrificed his life for the nation. He saluted his bravery also.

He did not forget to mention the craft and bravery of Indian Air Force who helped in helping the army along with the army doctors. In the end he concluded by giving us the slogan of the brave soldier who said, “I regret I have but one life to give for my country.”

Principal Dr. Ajay Kant Sharma to pay homage and tribute to the soldiers of Kargil to stand in silence for two minutes.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Manish R.K. Jain, principal NHLPS, who expressed his overwhelming emotions by saying that India is progressing and getting younger day by day in zeal and enthusiasm.
