Independence Day celebration in Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School

 

Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School celebrated 71st Independence Day with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion.

The programme commenced with unfurling of the National Flag by Chief Guest Commander Bhakti Gokhle along with Management Incharge Mr. Manohar Vaswani, Principal Mr. Manish R.K. Jain, Vice-Principal Mrs. Rita Gurbani, Head-Mistress Mrs. Amrita Motwani, staff members, NCC cadets and the students, followed by National Anthem.

The programme opened up by taking the blessings, lighting the lamp and offering flowers at the feet of Ma Saraswati, Ma Bharti and His Holiness Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahibji by the Chief Guest commander Bhakti Gokhle. The School Principal Mr. Manish R.K. Jain wishing Happy Independence Day gave a clarion call to all to create a new India which will be free from poverty, illiteracy, corruption and communalism. He made all pledge on behalf of Prime Minister of creating New India in 2022.

The best students of the year 2016-17 were awarded by Chief Guest along with Mr. Manohar Vaswani, Management Incharge, Principal Mr. Manish R.K. Jain, Vice-Principal Mrs. Rita Gurbani, Head-Mistress Mrs. Amrita Motwani. The awardee students were- i) Harshita Pawar- VII, ii) Shradha Verma- X A, iii) Ritika Mulani- XI, iv) Hanisha Jagwani.

The Chief Guest extending the warm wishes of 71st Independence Day congratulated the ‘Best Student’ award winning students. She urged the students and parents to spare time for physical exercise which helps all to excel in life. She also advised the students to choose the correct friends because ‘friends can make you or break you’.

There after the cultural programme began with flag song composed and written by Music Teacher Mr. Jagdish Vishwakarma which enthralled everyone followed by speech by Ku. Swasti Bansal VI B who called everyone to be one in such a time when terrorist activities are taking place. The patriotic song by students of VIII and IX filled everyone with patriotism. The colourful presentation of Sindhi dance by the students made the audience tap their feet and feel elated. Jhankar Jivnani of class XI made everyone realise the importance of freedom and the achievements of India.

The cultural extravaganza was marked by the wonderful house wise group song competition filling everyone present with patriotism. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manohar V.aswani reminisced the culture of India which was not lost even after the slavery of 100 years. He encouraged the students to render a helping hand in the progress of the country by helping the needy after reaching to their posts. He spoke about ‘Each One Teach One programme’. He reminded of the contribution of great ministers like Mrs. Indra Gandhi, Mr. Narendra Modi in the development of country. If they can do, so we can. So we must take example of the countries where citizens are very attentive. Students can make a better India by being attentive students not forgetting their aims of their life and be regular in their physical fitness.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Miss. Ritika Mulani, School Captain. The programme concluded with mass singing of National song and sweet distribution amongst the students. The compering of the programme was successfully done by Ku.
