Session in Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School on Career Opportunities for girls in Armed Forces.Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School organised a motivational, inspiring and guiding session on “Career opportunities for girls in Armed forces” on 13th April’ 17 for the students of Std. XI & XII in Navnidh Auditorium. The session begin with the lighting of ceremonial lamp in the lotus feet of Maa Bharti and Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahibji in presence of Chief Guest & Resource person Colonel Narayan Parwani,(Retd) from Army, the guide and motivator reverend Siddh Bhauji, Chairperson Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society, the School Principal, teachers and students. Rev. Siddh Bhauji advised the students to be physically and mentally fit and strong. For physically strength daily exercise, eating balanced diet consisting of sprouts, raw fruits and juices as their daily meal is a must. Mental strength can be acquired by developing early rising habit as well as doing mediation & prayer on regular basis. Colonel Parwani told the students in the modern world, there are no domains of work that women haven’t delved into. The Indian Armed forces which for long was considered a male dominated workplace, since 1992 has confident, bold women, moulding into every role and setting examples for everyone. He asserted that youngsters who aspire to choose a career of excitement, adventure and challenges can find no better place than defence to meet all their professional expectations. The doors of armed forces were thrown open for women entry as regular officers in aviation, logistics, law, engineering and executive cadres. With zeal he asserted that Armed forces offers – job satisfaction, job security, physical fitness, quality life, adventure, economic stability, social status, professional advancement and above all pride of being the best. He explained with exemplary patience how to enter in armed forces including full vistas of how to join Indian Army, India Air Force and Indian Navy. He updated the students about entry in defence forces through UPSC (CDSE), Armed forces Medical colleges and Military Nursing Services. At the end he cautioned that forces have no room for easy going soft people. The session was mesmerising as it kept all the students captivated throughout the session.
